    1992 FJ-80 Belt Routing

I pulled all 3 of the belts off of my cruiser 3 weeks ago and have just now found the time to put the new oem ones back on. My memory may fail me once i get started and was wondering if anyone has a diagram of the routing they might like to share since the FSM is quite vage on this topic...

Why can't an 80 flex like.....

I'm the one selling Ben's old truck, currently mine, with the front sway bar on it handles really well on the highway and in cornering, of course 37" tires like to ride the ruts, but other than that it's a really comfy ride, Brad.

    Oil Pressure?

I've been worried about this for a while as well, i have a 92 and my oil pressure is always low, i talked to my local trusted mechanic and he pulled up the reccomended oil pressure for the 3FE and his computer said that safe oil pressure is anywhere from 4psi to i think 20psi? It would be nice...

    Bad Pick coil

I just had the same thing go out on my 92, cruiserparts had the pick-up coils in stock, and Urban Landcruisers had a bunch of used 3FE dist. for sale, Brad.

    Running 37-inch Tires?

I also run 1.5" wheel spacers and in the next year or so i plan to turn my 8" wide wheels into bead locks for another 1" wider stance, i will be doing alot of traveling this winter now that the lakes are frozen, and it handles really well on long drives, Brad.

    The Pig Won't Start!!!

Well I finally just towed the truck up to my mechanic's, after an hour he had it figured out, one of the pick-up coils in the distributor were bad, so i luckily found a used dizzy locally and she's all good, HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Brad.

    Patch Balancing

I asked the Hunter guy about the golf ball idea, he just laughed and didn't think i was serious, plus the other disadvantage would be tht once you got some nice chunkage from rocks the patch would be totally worthless, Brad.

    Patch Balancing

Anyone use it? I had one of the Hunter Engineering guys at my shop the other day and asked him who in town has one of their balancing machines, after explaining that i run 37" tires and how huge of a difference a good balance makes he suggested patch balancing, the only thing that concerns me is...

    The Pig Won't Start!!!

Well I threw in a new EFI relay just for s***s and grins to no avail, when cranking over the motor with the door and hood open there is a definite gas smell, thats another reason i first checked for spark. Robbie - It's Ben's old truck so it has the MSD high flow pump, not sure how old it is...

    The Pig Won't Start!!!

TJK - I get more than my share of the Wizard, with a 5 year old daughter that wants to grow up and be Judy Garland i've got it memorized, i'm going up to my local stealership this morning to get a new EFI relay just to try it, maybe i'll get lucky. RavenTai - Thanks for the info, i'm going to...

    The Pig Won't Start!!!

TJK - I didn't say " IRON PIG ", i think any cruiser weighing over #6000 qualifies as a PIG, Brad.

    The Pig Won't Start!!!

So from out of nowhere i get in my truck, 92 FJ-80, after work and the thing just keeps on turning over and won't fire, the truck was running fine up until now, so to me it sounds like it's not getting enough spark, so i check the coil, good spark there, check at the dizzy, spark there, the only...

    TRD super charger

I have a turbo charged 3FE and when wheeling, ie: usually in 1st or 2nd gear in low range, i have no turbo lag due to the fact that with 5:29 gears when in 1st or 2nd low range i'm in the 1000-1200rpm range and into the turbo's boost, so there aren't any sudden bursts of power, atleast no more...

BUILT FZJ80 or BUILD an LX450

The other advantage that was a huge factor to me when looking for an 80, built or not, was that $6K-$12K takes quite a while for a working stiff like me to save up so buying one built meant i could play and have fun with it now, Brad.

LH passenger window won't work on '91 --

Eric - I just had this happen on my 92" the roller on the motor popped out of the window track because the track slid, i had to pull the door panel and hook up power to the motor and slide the track back over, Brad.

I got the 80 dynoed last night.

Semlin - Is methyl hydrate the same as denatured alcohol? If not where do i get a bottle of this stuff, TIA, Brad.

I got the 80 dynoed last night.

Mark - Yeah i disconnected the front wheels, and only dynoed the rear, i wonder if there would be a difference on a 4-wheel dyno?
  20. Bradass80

I got the 80 dynoed last night.

Yeah 130hp shocked me also, but that is correct at the rear wheels, they said 30-40% more at the flywheel, the 37" tires is what knocks it way down, if the truck were stock i'd be close to 300hp at the rear wheels, the turbo is a Garrett T3/T4, i'm not sure on the tuneable fuel regulator, don't...
