I use one of these:

You don't need the whole set for working on a Japanese car. Buy the 14, 17 and 19 individually in 1/2 drive. In 3/8 drive get 10,12 and 14 - maybe 17...
I don't know about the VIN, maybe check with SOR.com about that.
My friend Adam's Factory Soft Top did not have holes in the WS frame for the hard top and there were holes in the back corners of the tub for the long since missing top bows. He also had the drop down tail gate, light at the...
That looks like it is a factory soft top tailgate - maybe even a factory soft top truck. Perhaps the hard top was added later. They are worth $$$ these days.
If you look at the SOR website, you can see some slight differences on the passenger side of the dash there will be a light that...
Just pinch it, if you can collapse it, there is no spring.
I would also strongly suggest that you look for a pin hole leak at the top of the radiator. Many thermostat housings have a screw in fitting that is plugged. This is a great place for steam to leak out with out loosing much...
Have you checked your lower radiator hose to see if it is collapsing under high flow and restricting water? Get one with a spring it it. That has gotten me before...
Have you also made sure that you don't have any air in the system?
Last but not least, I once took apart a motor because...
komosta kayo!
Yea, when I lived in the PI, I never saw one.
My uncle's 40 did not have a heater at all IIRC.
Get's cold in Bagio at night though! Had to pack a jean jacket for trips to camp John Hay. Kerosine heaters for 50 degrees, that is cold for the PI.
Is that still...
Pull the negative battery cable off.
Use a small 12v test light between the disconnected negative cable and the negative post on the battery. If the light lights up, the you have a "draw".
Disconnect you alternator wire. If the light no longer lights up, then you have a bad diode...
I don't think that there is anyone in the DC area who is a diesel specialist and would be ideal for this swap. I'd suggest your drive a 4bt truck before you do the swap. You may love/like/dislike/hate it.
If you do decide to do a 4bt, Profits seems to be to the go do source for this.
JC,
I think what is going on here is that ARB would like you to use their shackles and they also don't want you to run 4" longer shackles front and rear. Poser, it's been a while and I know that Man-it-ant Free sells longer shackles but I thought that ARB only sold one length for the 40...
It's pretty straight forward to go back to the stock motor after a V8 has been installed. Hardest part is grinding off the motor mount scab plates from the V8 swap. The you get the stock mounts off a donor frame and use bolts to put back in place (the factory ones are riveted one).
I have...
Most OEM manufactures use shackles in front with spring under and shackle reversal with spring over. Jeep used the front shackles until 1995?
Toyota went to rear shackles on the mini with spring over.
Can anyone point out an OEM application that this does not apply to? I am sure...
What is different about the HD is that it uses different yokes and has an electronic speedo vs a cable drive. The yokes require domestic truck style driveshafts vs. the flanged style on Japanese trucks. None of this is bad, just different.
Like Poser said, it does NOT have a centered...
