    Builds 76 Fj40 Face Lift

Hope it warms up a bit. It’s 40f right now. Great to be in Ohio. I’m all in for a party and there’s a rumor that the newest Land Cruiser in Lexus flavor could be lurking and available for a look. I think it should be the first in Ohio. @Jdc1 will bring out the 72, my truck Princess will be in...

1970 Front License plate position??? (Generic bumper actually)

In Ohio you have to buy the 25 year valid “antique” plate and keep it in your vehicle. You can then get a plate that is from your year as long as it is color correct and run that one. Ohio no longer has a front plate requirement. I was lucky and got some year/color correct plates. But unlucky...

1970 Front License plate position??? (Generic bumper actually)

I’ve been addicted to Land Cruisers in all their series for quite awhile now. Had an FJ60 that was owner raped in a bad way as my 1st. Spent a lot of money trying to return it to its original form. Gave up on that one as I couldn’t stop the rust and got tired of constant work with little...

    Anatomy of a Rabbit Hole

Two people, me and @Jdc1 can dig a rabbit hole deeper and faster than one. Supposed to be a trail truck quickly morphed in to just a driver morphed into best available morphed into wtf let’s just do everything the two of us agree that as long as we’re this deep let’s see if there’s a bottom to...

My first '40 and the venture

Like the words of that Reba song "Where were you when I could have loved you" I think you were lurking when @Jdc1 and I fell deep in the hole and started the 72. Chalk it up to we were noobs then. And look at where it has led. It's only a sickness if you acknowledge it or you have more than...

Watch the torque specs on this. Not as tight as you think. And tighter is not better!

Bench seat seatbelt options - lap only? Or shoulder harness?

Applying today’s safety standards to old trucks are like revisiting history and judging people based on our current culture. Surely the 3 point harness just holds you in place so the solid steering column can pierce you right through the chest. Enjoy life and hope when your time comes it is...

Couldn’t stand it not being where I can lay eyes on it. Anytime stop on by. I make a pretty mean cold brew coffee or something stronger by the name of Jameson and a spare bed if we were to over imbibe

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Speaking of steamy. All you sun belt mudders are lucky you don’t have to park for months cause of chloride

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I was busting on a Ferrari guy at one of our shows telling him if I parked next to him I would pull his crowd. I wasn’t bluffing

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Anti-seize your bolts. Stainless in mild steel requires it or you may never get them to remove

    fj40 F engine replacement with F2

The 2f is a great swap. I have 2 of them. Look up threads on “dumbing down a 2f. Your intake carb and breather will bolt right up. Keep the oil cooler from the 2f it is a major improvement. Also if you can run the 2f distributor it is a really good upgrade. Don’t forget you need the igniter off...
