I hate you!
No really though, awesome find and screaming deal! Glad it went to someone who will take good care of her. Hope to see the Land Goat running soon. Fawking awesome man...congrats and great story...goats are a nice touch...ha!
I put mine outward. Figure it would be alot easier getting at em for greasing em up down the road. I don't think getting crud on em matters much as long as you wipe em off before you put a grease gun up to em.

Doesn't work all the times, but a good smack with a hammer on the side of where the tierod shaft is going thru the center arm might work. ...basically where you have the puller on the last picture.
Or if you don't get a puller and you have new TREs with nutts, you could try just nailing it...
You can pickup a pitman arm puller fer bout 12-20 buckz from pepboyz or any of those places... definately worth it. I still had to heat the arm alittle to convince her to come off.
Good luck!

Sounds like a nice vacation:) I don't have one, but I know Warn 8274 8ton winches are regarded as a good winch. Good luck... and put up some pix when u get back.
I also reused the stock pully off the stock aisin alternator. The one that came with the delco 12si I got did not lineup with the pulleys, but once i put the old stocker on, it lined up.
U Happy now?
She ain't running yet...gotta go pull a harness this weekend, but from the doc that Theo sent, it was pretty easy. Bypass the voltage reg and setup the one wire as u see from the pic. Not sure if I was suppose to use the alternator bracket this way(Stock alternator went outside...
Another option is to upgrade the alternator to Delco... pretty cheap upgrade...especailly if you pull it from a jyard. Theo send me some articles...if you're interested in it PM me and i'll email to ya. The one i got puts out 90ampz.
