This is the brake booster in my 72/40 (12/71). It has been making an awful squall/screech sound that comes and goes. Looks like it has been leaking between the booster and reservoirs.
I have done an internet search to find a replacment with little results. I have no idea what this originaly came...

My thoughts are with you and your family.

I have a similar set up to yours. Mine is a 1972 with a 327 to a TH400 and a toyota T-case. I would also be intrested in a set up like this. I have been debating going to a 700r4 for the lower 1st gear and the extra top end 4th gear. I could live with out the 4th gear in the 700r4, if...
73COcruiser, Your doors are the older style so i think LT is talking about your style of doors, I would be cautious and get more info before welding your cage in, or just put your doors on and weld the cage to fit :meh:.
[EDIT] sorry i just read the thread again, and see now that you don't...
Please someone correct me if i am wrong, But i noticed that all of your welds are contious. I'm still learning, but i swear someone told me that your welds are stronger if you space your welds apart a little.
I"m not trying to degrade what you'r doing, just wondering if my thoughts are...
This is one of the jump seats with rollbar in my 1972 (12/71). I don't know if the jump seats or the rollbar are for a 1972 or not. I believe my hard top and doors are from a newer model, So the seats and rollbar may also be newer. The rear bumpers do land on my wheel wells, and there is no sign...
I'm sorry Toast for the slight thread hijack BUT.....

I took mine out once and there was some rubber pieces, about 1/8" thick under it (not stock in any way). i'm guessing to keep the tank from rubbing metal on metal.
