    My problem is actually removing the old rivets...what is the best way to do that? Especially the hard-to-reach ones with the body still on.

    Just a wild guess...but, take off your gas cap and drive around and see if the problem goes away. Perhaps it is not venting properly and when the vacuum builds up, the fuel supply gets choked off?

    I have the same issue and I've determined that it is the slave push-rod gently rubbing the clutch release fork due to idle vibrations. Try putting some grease between the two and see if the chirping stops. Easy no-cost check!

    Do you have gas in the tank? I farted around with all kinds of ignition problems...only to find out that I didn't have any fuel. DOH!
