Hello all!
I am trying to track down a fairly large leak that appears to be coming from this cover on my transmission (see pic). I can't find anything online as far as a gasket or even anything about this cover.
I found the PTO cover and gasket, but that is on the transfer case. What is it...
Just a thought, but what about mounting the sides to the gozzard top, off the vehicle? Then lift the entire top+sides onto the body for mounting? It seems to me that there is enough wiggle and bend going on with these sides that they are never installed the same way or at the same exact...
Just a wild guess...but, take off your gas cap and drive around and see if the problem goes away. Perhaps it is not venting properly and when the vacuum builds up, the fuel supply gets choked off?
I have the same issue and I've determined that it is the slave push-rod gently rubbing the clutch release fork due to idle vibrations. Try putting some grease between the two and see if the chirping stops. Easy no-cost check!
