Hey all, was wondering if you could help me figure out how to solve the problem with fuel delivery to my '69 40. When it sits for 2+ weeks (which it does a lot) it takes a crazy amount of starter fluid and or gas by hand to get the engine running long enough to get the fuel pumped up to the...
Interestingly the 11725 was too small for my '69. Went back and got a 11640. I called toyota and they wanted $19 for one! Thanks to this thread I knew to go to Pepboys.
Springs settle at all? I have mine sitting on opposite side ramps just like the picture at the top of this page. If this doesn't work I will look at getting different shackles. Front is much better than rear, just like yours. I also put about 200lb of weights in the back as well.
I have had a 4" BDS w OME greasable shackles on my cruiser for about 7 years and the shackles still don't look much better than yours! Good luck, mine have not settled at all.
Regarding the front seats - just bookmarked cruiser corps for seat covers. Who did you use for the foam inserts? Thanks, and please keep it coming as mine is almost exactly like your before photos.
Wow, thanks Dusty 66, I did not get that from SOR's diagram at all, but it now makes sense.
Pretty sure what I am replacing is original (no pads left on the shoes at all) and that boot is probably 30 years gone bye.
Anyone able to tell me where the dust boot from the SOR parking brake assembly is supposed to go? I don't see anywhere where it would be applicable. Thanks!
Update:
A huge thank you goes out to homebuiltcruiser who sent me the bumper hangers for free!!!!
I have cleaned/prepped/painted the frame and ready to install my SOR bumper but have now discovered how tweaked the drivers-side front frame really is....
What are all your thoughts on what I...
I lost this small arm that slides into the wiper blade and the screw for one of my wipers during a snow storm. I see SOR sells the blade and the arm but not sure where to get just these two parts. Help appreciated.
Yea, there was pressure applied. I put it back together and going to hope all is well after a bleed. Frankly, I think you are right that they should all probably be replaced, they look pretty bad (well they are 41 yrs old). Will plan on that this year for sure.
Tell you what though...
I was in the process of replacing the brake shoes on one of my wheels - long story short one of the wheel cylinders fell apart.
The compression spring, cylinder piston & cylinder boot fell to the floor.
What do I do now? They don't want to stay in due to gravity. Should I just purchase a...
