I got home Sunday afternoon and still washing and cleaning stuff. But heading out for another trip next week so not trying to get all the dirt now.
Thanks to Daniel for leading, Josh for gunning and everyone for being a good group to travel and camp with.
I decided this is my last trip on...
Glad you made the list. Dana and I exchanged several posts about Kokopelli’s Trail before he mentioned being on the waiting list. He was going to tackle it solo if he didn’t get in with us
I’ve decided to bring my trailer and do the drive around. I’ve seen reports about a bridge being out up in the La Sals so we might all have to detour and shorten the trip.
Josh convinced me that having my proper bed was very important. Also I was struggling with what to bring from the trailer...
I’m Ace Brown (I think, Mud wouldn’t let me login with me forum name, but it’s been quite some time since I tried). I live in Western Colorado in the nice little mountain town of Cedaredge. Currently retired and spend a LOT of time overlanding. I’m the president of the Book Cliff Cruisers and...
Huge thanks to Rising Sun and everyone who helped make Cruise Moab 2013 a big success.
BUT got to say something about the Slickrock Campground. Every year I vow never again but I guess the bad memories dim and I come back. But this time was the last! I was camped in the SW corner with two big...
We started a welcome thread for the Kokopelli participants in this forum under clubhouses, Book Cliff Cruisers, Kokopelli Team Members. Only a few folks have checked in there and we'd like get to know all of you before Tuesday morning. Please check in and give us a little bio and rig info...
The "parking brake" is no longer considered an emergency brake in definition or practice. Most will barely slow a moving vehicle. But I understand the rule.
We received the Roster for those attending the Kokopelli Overnighter and it looks like a great group. Thanks Jeff for your help in getting us all squared away for this run.

No, my dog and plenty others will be there and on the trails. Only two restrictions that I know is they should be on a leash and not allowed in Canyonlands National Park, which means you can't do the Elephant Hill run. And no, not even if it never gets out of your rig, which I think is just...
Just made my reservations at Slickrock CG, double tent site 136. I see someone has site 135 reserved for the same dates so must be another Cruiserhead.
For those using their reservation system for the first time here's a tip. When you select the type of site and dates you might get a response...
Yesterday high winds were predicted for Moab Tues and Wed which would have meant bad conditions at Lone Warrior but now report says only 10-20 mph which is better but not good. Better bring a lid for your beer mug ; )

I heading that way today but with a few stops planned so will be at Slickrock CG Tuesday AM to drop off my trailer, then heading to Lone Warrior. Bout all I've done I'd load gear and wash the truck.

Just called the campground and confirmed that checkout is 11:00 and checkin is at noon (1:00 for cabins). Also found no one is scheduled to be in my site that Monday so they said I can come in early as 8:00. I sure wouldn't want to hang around until 2:00 while waiting to head to Lone Warrior...
I plan to set up my trailer in Slickrock Campground as early as they will allow on Tuesday then head direct to Lone Warrior so if anyone is heading out there about the same time post up here or PM me. I'm going to tent camp this year and not stay in my trailer down below. Too much climbing up...
