Just a potential heads up - Make sure you can bolt the door catch hardware to the rear door body. Sometimes the capture nuts are gone or broke off and the catch cannot be mounted securely. The only way to fix these capture nuts or get a nut on the back of the mounting bolt is to remove the...

    1965 LV rear view mirror

Yeah, sorry, the last pic is like the one in my early 64. It also has slimmer door and window levers. Here is a pic :

    Two different early FWD knobs?

Interesting - was wondering about that. I've got two different FD knobs but neither fit the threads on my 64 LV :(

    1964 FJ45 LB “RB1” Project

I did not use soapy water but that sounds like a good idea (like installing window tint). I used the squeegee that was included with the stickers and I tried my best to line up each letter along an imaginary line. Then, I slowly removed the backing of the stickers as I applied them so as to...

Looking to purchase a 45LV or Troopie

Thanks, Bill. That cruiser is on crautos.com (I noticed you cropped the pics to remove the crautos.com watermark) for $5500 USD or best offer. Was just wondering where the other $6500 was coming from. Are you Asdae/Angel under a new username or her husband?

    My HJ45 Project - Denmark

I think early 2H's had a fuel filter that was only the paper element inside a metal canister setup like the H. Later 2H had the spin on fuel filter like in the pic. Plus, I see electrical for Super Glow starting system which is on later 2H's.

HJ45 (2H motor) complete vehicle rebuild thread

If you forsee dirt to pavement back to dirt back to pavement driving, you will want to leave your hubs locked but not necessarily want the front diff locking like it would with a Detroit style locker. With an ARB, you leave your hubs locked, then go into 4WD and engage the front ARB *only* when...

HJ45 (2H motor) complete vehicle rebuild thread

What is your desired highway cruising speed and at what RPM? Do you want to cruise at 65MPH and 2800-3000 RPM? Or, would 65MPH at 2200-2500 be better for you? Since you have H55 and a turbo diesel, a great combination is 3.70 gears (FJ60 diffs) and 33's for good around town power and good...
