I used the OEM rack with the Baja drop-in basket. Suited my needs just fine. Pretty much made the entire rack useable real estate. Like the full racks but the basket was affordable worked quite well.
Nice write-up and thanks for sharing. I've been looking at the red eye for awhile now as an option. Looks like they've really covered the bases with this version. Does everything feel balanced? That's a lot of weight hanging on a single point load.
I've been really impressed with my MAXXs on the trail. I've had them down to 13-14 PSI in some really boney, rocky areas and they have really done well. Equally as well in the mud. Do you have any feedback after taking them out west? And agree completely with your OME assessment. It can be...
I have the VIAIR and have been pleased with it. It's pretty quick and chugs along.
I'd guess the next thing is to decide your intended use? If your going to be hitting the trails or just occasional off-road use. You have a very capable vehicle as it sits now. But if your planning on...
The rig is really starting to transform! Looking really good although I'm partial the MAXXs! You'll please with their performance on on the trail as well.
What's next?
Thanks! It's a never ending process. I'm working on swapping out the rear to a LT setup, finishing a storage box in the back and a few other armor inprovements. Just finished adding Spidertrax and replacing front hub assemblies.
The pic was from OBX. It wasn't a great week of fishing for...
I've always been told and done this myself. It doesn't hurt to drive the Vehicle a little. 1/2 tank of gas or so after installing the lift before alignment is done. Let it settle in some.
A decent shop should be able to get you back into a tolerable spec with the setup you have. We have a...
I've run them at a few different PSI and have found that I like them best on the at 35. I started out at 32 but they just felt "heavy" in regards handling. I tried to run them at 40 on the hwy but they were too stiff for my taste. 35, for me, feels the best for both worlds and they have been...
Thanks! I try to get out as much as possible. Our local club goes at the least every other month and sometimes every month in the summer.
I've followed a lot of your videos and advice throughout different phases of my build. Thanks for sharing so much information.
Nice work. I have the ARB Bull bar as well and solid is an understatement.
I have the OME 3" and am still on stock UCAs with no issues. The plan is to upgrade to SPC or something like that whenever I need to replace balljoints. So, yes you can run stock. After market will get you better...
Hi all! Just stopping by to formally introduce myself. I've been on MUD for awhile now but mainly for our local TLCA clubhouse. I've browsed this area several times and it's pretty rude that I didn't say hello.
So here's the meat and potatoes of it:
07' FJC upgrade packages 1 & 2
ARB bull...
