I owned the black one for awhile. I actually made the cart it’s on to use while restoring my spring green 71, hence the overspray. It was the cruiser I had when I discovered ih8mud! Wish I’d known about it for the first 5-6 I had…..
This is in my hood. If someone not local is interested, I’d be willing to take an initial look for them. It’s been for sale quite awhile. I have never seen it in person but in a Facebook ad I saw for it, it looks pretty rough.
That ad is long gone but here is the same cruiser now for $10k with no mention of the V8 engine being included.

Some clues to me that this one has been restored or at least repainted at some point. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’m guessing seller knows but careful wording of the ad leads you to believe it’s all original/untouched at first pass.
It looks pretty nice from the pics.
When I sold my spring green 71, a non-paying winner was a big concern of mine. BAT doesn’t care because they have the bidders credit card and keep their 5% regardless. Payment is handled between buyer and seller. I asked BAT what happens if I have a non-payer and after many responses saying it’s...
Ya I was looking forward to getting this one on the road. The guy that gave me a deposit is an older retired guy, restores them as a hobby. Has done a few pretty nice ones so looks like it’ll be getting a good home. Though I’d have kept it as is.
Selling this absolute GEM of a Freeborn Red 1977 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 project! I know, I know, Skreddy; you crazy for letting this perfectly patina’d Offroad monster go, and at just $7500, only a mere fraction of its current real world value!
Salesmanship aside, I bought this cruiser from...
There was only the one pic. Could’ve been a rust bucket but I’m guessing it was not terrible. I would’ve been headed down with my trailer but I worked all weekend. And I’m kind of swimming in them right now.
Not mine but seems like a great price from the poor description and 1 bad pic.
Hello, I'm selling my FJ40 project. It is complete and original, minus rear seat. Was parked to replace clutch slave cylinder. Still needs to be replaced. Lots of parts not bolted down and in boxes inside the cab...
Craigslist ad states $20k +/-
Looks pretty untouched. Poor pics but rear sill looks fairly solid. Floor has been painted; why? (See trans hump). Need to get those mats out to see. Seats look like they’ve been recovered. I agree, engine and underneath pics will help. Did you see the selectro...
