BFG Tires with white lettering 285/75/16

From tirereack, the 305/70/16 load range E has a snowflake, whereas the load range D does NOT have a snowflake- is this a typo on the tirerack site? Seems to be the opposite of the other sizes.

My Bridgestone Revo's simply won't wear out...

I put a set of 285 Revos (not Revo 2) load range D maybe 5 years ago, have put 70K mi. on them and they still have good tread left (forgot last measure- will check).

BFG AT's last a long time

To those who've ridden on both- how do the Toyos compare to the Revos in the 285 size (ATs)? I like the Revos, but feel they may not be as strong as the BFGs on the rocks. Do the Toyos fit the bill?

BFG AT's last a long time

IMHO the BFG A/Ts use harder rubber and are just less grippy overall (even when new) vs. tires like the Revo A/Ts. They certainly do not perform as well as the Revos in the wet. A friend of mine bought a set of BFG A/Ts for his 80 around the same time I bought my Revos, and the difference is...

    Damm BFG A/T Tires

Just curious- with all the Wide vs. skinny tire talk- why are you guys wanting 305s vs. 285s? Is it the look, or are you big rock crawlers?

Anyone know of good Bridgestone Revo pricing?

Doug- Discount/American Tire seems to be the place to go to pricematch. I also had a good experience at a Firestone tire place, where I got 4 285 Revos a couple of years ago for $700 w/ mount/balance after some bargaining. C6H12O6- you can get a used Toyo for cheap or, at worst, a new Toyo...

BFG 305/70 A/T KO Tires - Report on Fit & Performance

Nobody has mentioned BFG A/T KO 315/70/16 in this thread- these are only 0.6" larger diameter and a little wider than the 305/70/16. Will these work adequately without regearing? Will they have rubbing problems that the 305s won't? Any comments on this or link to related threads would be...

    FYI: Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo’s

Where the "lifetime of the tire" is defined by the tire manufacturer? Is this "lifetime cert" free? Anyone on the west coast know if our version of "Discount Tire" (called "American Tire") operates the same way?

collector- can you tell me about Discount Tire's extended warranty / roadside-assistance offerings?

    FYI: Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo’s

You got some good discussion going so nothing is wasted. IMHO you made the right choice, too, considering your usage. No need for "poser" tires if you aren't going to use them (Ahem...Tyler? ) and they are the safest choice for your family, as well. You might want to consider new Toyota LC...

    FYI: Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo’s

collector- if you have stock suspension and esp. stock tires, then you've probably noticed the lx450's side-to-side sway over certain types of bumps at highway speeds. This is due to the different shocks used in the LX and can be fixed by replacing the shocks with LC/other shocks (like OME), or...

    FYI: Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo’s

Sorry i wasn't more specific- I meant $150 / tire + mounting / balancing. Forgot the exact total, but very reasonable. I told them tirerack has them for $150/tire and I'd drive home with them if they matched that price. I was a bit surprised, but the guiy at the counter didn't say much, just...

collector- my local Firestone tire in LA matched tirerack's $150 / tire when I asked.

Nitto Terra Grappler vs Bridgestone Revo

collector- just reread your intended usage in your first post. Honestly, if you want a *softer* ride for more comfortable highway performance, I can't think of a better tire than the original Michelins. If yours are worn, a new set would be great. I have a '97 Lexus LX450 with the softer...

Nitto Terra Grappler vs Bridgestone Revo

Whoever said the Revos are like the Michelins has never spent a significant amount of time on and off-road in a rig with Revos. The Revo is an excellent do-it-all A/T in that it has excellent on-road performance, and it can handle moderate trails very well- sidwwalls have held up fine for me...

    BFG guys, why not Revo's?

BFGs have been around a while and have a pretty good reputation, which makes it tough for a newcomer like the Revo to get a fair assessment since not as many people have had a lot of experience with them. However, there was another thread that compared sidewall plies and I think the D load rated...

    BFG AT vrs Bridgestone Revo

Revo 285s- better on-road, comparable to BFG AT off-road. This is the size with the D load rating, which I've heard is quite a bit tougher than the smaller Revos.

    FYI: Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo’s

Another fan of the Revos here- I've got the 285s. Excellent for mild to moderate offroading, and excellent on-road. Their stiffer sidewalls even solve the side-to-side wallow problem present on LX450s with stock shocks and Michelins! I am curious what kind of mileage people are getting out of...

Bridgestone Dueler A/T 693 LT285/75R16 "Safety Campaign" (Recall)

Looks like there is a problem with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 693 LT285/75R16 tires. For more info, see: http://www.bridgestonetire.com/VSC/index.asp?id=faq I don't think the Revo tires are affected. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.
