    Vehicle Move

I plan to ship two land cruisers mid-July from Oregon to Arkansas. A 62 and a Troopy. I will trailer the 40 behind the moving truck. I have found a "load board" called u-ship and I plan to post there to find a carrier. Any comment on past experience with shippers would be appreciated. Thank...

Stolen 1989 Land Cruiser Please Keep an Eye Out

I moved to Portland 20 years ago. Within the first 2 months my 62 was stolen from in front of the house in NOPO. Police came and as they were walking away one said "Welcome to Portland." The truck was found two hours later, two blocks from the house. A couple of African Americans were reported...

Old Man Emu the same as Emu Dakar?

I've never bought anything from either MAF or Metal Tech. Bet they're both good companies. When you buy a suspension product from Kurt Williams you get everything you need to do the install on the first shipment. The company sells a LOT of suspensions and they know what you're going to need to...

Can I trust my rig on family trips?

The temp gauge spike on mine is totally random. At least I have a full fuel tank for the few seconds that it happens. It certainly does give you a pucker moment the first time or two that it happens though. As long as the fuel gauge moves in unison you are golden. You may not have needed a...

Camping with your 60/62 thread.... ready go:

A small backstory is that I’ve had the 62 (h55) for 20+ years. I recently moved to the troopy. My daughter has taken a real shine to the 62 and is taking it over. I’ll encourage her to get a mud account.

Do you prefer the look of the FJ60 round headlights or the FJ62 square headlights?

I like the round but then I like the manual trans as well....so I did both. If you're gonna sell it I'd not go through the effort.

What did you do with your 60 this weekend?

There was a minus tide this weekend. Good razor clam digging.

    Risky buying a FJ62 with 200k miles?

Truer words have not been written. Get the best of both worlds; a 62 with an HFF and round headlight conversion. The only thing missing would be the manual windows.
