Don't put 10.5" tire on a 10" wheel unless you want the Hawaii 4x4 look. The rims will get destroyed while offroad, you want the sidewall to have some bulge and with a 10" wheel it will not.
10.5's are not to wide for stock wheels. Those charts tire stores use to tell them what size tires they can mount on what size wheels are stupid.
Buy the tires and mount them up yourself, its not that hard.
That's how I have mine wired and also prefer it that way. The other way wouldn't be too bad though, I rarely use the front only, but I like the ability too. Either option is easy to accomplish.
They are backwards. The factory ARB wiring is set up so you can operate the rear whenever you want, the front can only be locked when the rear is locked. Easy fix.
Who, other than Ruff Stuff, makes spring hangers that fit the FJ60 springs? I like the Ruff Stuff hangers, they just wont work for my application. I could probably even use some factory hangers, if I had some. TIA
Yeah, what does that accident have to do with a thread about Man-a Fre:confused:
As to your pinion seal. A lesson my father taught me as a kid when I was learning about working on cars, "When a pinion seal leaks, its not because of a bad seal." In my experience that has been a true...
After 12 years of running ARB's I have Zero complaints. The only minor problem I had was I ran a hose to close to a heat source and melted the hose. It was my fault and it took 2 min to fix.
I disagree. You said previously about auto lockers are harder on birfs. It is the same reason they are...
I have never seen anyone stranded on the trail or the road due to a failed ARB, but I have many times for the lunch box locker. The only rear Cruiser axle's I have seen break was either with a luch box locker or a full Detroit.
They are both WAY harder on parts than the ARB, like Mace said...
