Looking at next vehicle after my hundy.

For me I chose a 2013 LX570. Comfort and power is a huge step up from my modified ‘98. Kept the 100.

Transfer Case high range underdrive gear?

Sorry this happened to you. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it was my understanding that 4.88s do not make the front diff stronger, rather it’s the air locker / e locker which adds strength to the front diff.

100 Series Front Diff Failure - Random Chat

Go for rear locked 98-99. More fun. But I’m biased. If budget is $15-20 consider an LX570…..

    Post your high-mileage 100-series!!!

Low miles are overrated. I bought a 1998 with 70k miles 10 years ago and I’m pretty sure I’m the one who did all the maintenance……. Low miles without records is risky. Buy one with decent service history and rock out

    100 vs FJC

4Runner trail and TRD off-road all have manual transfer cases too, it’s not limited to the TRD pros.

You have room for an LX570 in the Ozarks? My 100 is retired to beach house duties. The 5.7 and AHC make a much better daily driver.

    Oponion on Japan-Import LC100 1998/1999?

Honestly why import a gas 100 with RHD Go diesel or buy a gas 100 when you get to the states.

Just speakers. Made huge difference I will say I also gave an aftermarket head unit too. Crutchfield has an online consult service and they can hook you up.

My order came with all of this. But we did not use the brackets nor the harnesses. I think the plugged right up ( had my mechanic install ) he said it was easy.
