Hey all. Sorry for the radio silence. It's been a crazy past year with a new kid and more work responsibilities. I do hope to get back into the swing of things again, but I can't say when for sure.
I'll be getting more soon. Currently working on knocking out a run of flaps, then I'll transition back to getting the compressor mounts done. Hopefully only a few weeks.
I really like those but they're pretty pricey. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it adds up. For comparison, the current nuts are about $8 for 25. Yeah, they're cheap and it's showing, but I've already worked that into the price and would have to increase the already expensive kits to...
Im sorry you're dealing with this! I'm over these fasteners. It seems my supplier (a US one at that) can't keep them consistent. This is the first I'm hearing of rusting but others have had issues with the threads in the past. I'm guessing the coating on the ones you got is bad as they shouldn't...
Looks great! Glad you got it working. I think you're the first with that bumper to get these on. It's so hard as a seller to make sure they fit with many different bumpers, but it seems most are able to make it work with minor modifications. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Sorry to hear that. They're 1/4-20 bolts and the ones I include are 1" long. I use 1" ers to help if the brackets need pushed out, but if it needs to go even further, then you'll need longer. I can send you more of the black spacers if you want to stack them behind the brackets. Just email...
All preorders went out today!
I still have about 6 kits worth of material. If anyone is interested in these without having to wait, if you get in on the 6 left, it should be less than 2 weeks to ship.
Thanks everyone! Please share photos on FB and other social media so I can keep making...
Because the urethane is so expensive, I have to order in bulk to make it work at this price. They can make any color, but it has to be like 30 kits worth to make it work. Would be tough to find that many committals for a single color.
This is true, but you need much thicker material. I make similar sliders using 1/4" wall 2x2 and 3/16" wall 2x6. The but weld is gapped nicely to get as much penetration as possible. With that thickness it's just enough to work as a slider with the deflection that's impossible to eliminate. With...
I just measured this out. The flaps now come in at about 21" long. The sheet is 23.75" long. So I could, in theory, get about 1.5" inches more. The cutting method is the hard part. I usually have a few sheets with bubbles in each batch that I use for prototyping and other projects. After I find...
