So I had purchased the CV axles and 2020, they were installed yesterday
The Toyota warranty is good for one year from date of purchase
So basically, the grease looks new because it is new
I have zero doubt of this , and no evidence. The facts are that , I bought it 3 years ago and the warranty is. 12 months.
They also installed a new rack and didn’t replace the bushing. I provided a poly one, since the original had 320k on it.
So they are going to do that over as well, I...
Does it mention lube on those splines and under the cap?
They somehow, removed and installed the new CV without removing the cap, no new lube.
I expected there to be fresh grease under there, it’s dry
The parts are not under warranty because I bought them in 2020 and they have been sitting in...
I am not looking for the manual for them, I am looking to print it out and ask some hard questions next week.
I unfortunately assumed that I would get a master tech. That would know that clips on the end of the CVs came in a assortment of thickness and why
But I’d really like to find us a copy of the manual, they didn’t put any lube or grease under the cap at the end of the shaft by the drive flange they just slept in there
When I questioned him on it, they said I didn’t need any
When I’ve done Burfield, sir, see this kind of work in the past I...
sorry I was losing my mind, I had purchased new CV axles in 2020 as preventative maintenance
I had my local dealer install them, drove it home and saw this
So I took it back to the dealer, but advise me it was bad from the factory
Since I purchased over 12 months ago it’s not under warranty...
I haven’t had time, so I took my new CV axles yo Toyota (factory parts new in box)
Anyway they agree to install no problem, until this
The claim is it’s not a torn boot , or bad clip.
It’s worn out internally? Like it’s a new axle from the factory.
So the CV axle was a brand new Toyota part...
What I know is

I will be running the stock 200 series 17 inch wheels, to get 5 I sourced them from several wheel restoration vendors. This unfortunately led to them being slightly different in color. Elected to have them redone at a local powder coating shop.
Currently I am running rock warriors with Goodyear...

I am currently running the Blanks, I would be possibly interested in your tire swing.
I can dig up the rear bar instructions next week , for whatever reason it says you should fit the bar first in the Jerry can instructions.
I am pulling...
Can you lock up your brakes , I am running 285/70/17 Goodyear All Terrain Adventure tires. I can’t get the brakes to lock up.
Maybe this is how the brakes are supposed to function, especially with a pretty grippy All Terrain on dry pavement.
So can what about the rest of you? If you slam on...
