I know Rob knows his stuff and has more than likely done this but had the same issue,finally took my balanced drive shaft back to re test it turned out it was way out of whack.Re balanced shaft end of my problem anyway.
I guess it all depends on your willingness to put out a couple hundred bucks for protection or 1500 to 2000 to repair a seized injection pump from water.

Hey Don have you started your conversion yet? I guess maybe I forgot to explain that the 6.5 pump is not mechanical it uses a fuel driver ,Would it be the same as to just wire the the fuel stop open as there is no mechanical linkage for throttle.
So just wire the pump on and it will idle is that correct?There is no computer as it had a mechanical pump on it.Ijust have the engine sitting in a test frame of mine.
