No 4x4 is easy to push start in snow or mud or when you have wedding suit on and future wife to be going to your reception and it will not start. Been there.
No charging them up with a battery charget to keep them in sync is futile. You need to run a proper 24 to 12v converter . It does not work long term to sneak 12v from one of the pairs of batteries.
Having been through this for about 4 years it does not work one battery always dies due to undercharging and I ran only a stereo on the 12volts. Then it suddenly will not start. Ended up converting whole truck to 12volts.
