    I think my starting battery is on it's way out, which is still that same lead cell from Polar that is ~8 years old. I replaced the accessory battery (mines been converted to 12V start) a year or so ago with a lead cell from Edmonds, who are pretty good too.

    Man I wish I had EGT's that low. So exact same installation as in the video above (same installer, ATEB) and mines a weekend warrior, never had any gauge connection wiring issues to date.

    I have a glowshift 3 in 1. Analog boost with digital EGT and trans temp. It's worked flawlessly for the year or so its been installed.

    @Malahki front mount HP sereis 2 intercooler install. HDJ81 - HP Diesel Series 2 Intercooler install 5 years later and I still dont have an IC even though I started the thread :(

    Any tricks to removing the alternaor on an 81? Just looking at it trying to come up with a plan and it appears to be a collosal pain in the ass for a simple job. Looks like removing the AC unit be the best bet?

    Not sure if this helps, but a friend had a 1HZ 70 series (which I had assumed at the time was a 13bt) and couldn't figure out how he was keeping up to me on the highway in my hdj81...until he told me it was a 1HZ.

    Good to know, thanks. My OEM oil pressure gauge works very intermittently at the best of times. I had a good panic attack one day when I glanced down at it and it was at zero. When it does work usually sits around the 1/4 or so mark, been like that for years now. I'll have a look at this hose...
