I have a old huge fridge that I got HIH 3. It’s huge. I can’t remember the brand or actual size, but it fills up most of the side of the rear cargo area or the spot of the 60 of the 60/40 rear seats.
What fridges do you guys have? How much room do they take up? I am not a fan of this huge I do...
I went to the local restaraunt supply store. They have Melamine plates and stuff. You now the stuff they have in cafeterias. It's a great idea, but probably to expensive for the pack and after 50 place settings, it would get really heavy. I am going to suggest that we make at least a couple...
So I am in charge of finding MULTIPLE mess kits (plate, spork, cup, bowl) for our Cub scout pack. Maybe a chuck box to put it all into also. Maybe with a good military or scouting discount? We are trying to get our pack away from using throw away stuff and be more "green". We are looking at...
I have dealt with Pelican with warranty issues, they were awesome. I needed multiple replacement parts for multiple toolboxes we had. They didn't ask for any other info other than a name and mailing address, and sent the parts out really fast. If I haven't already bought my Edgestar, this would...
I haven't spent the night in the comfort cot yet, but I already ordered another one for the wife. The kids have toddler blow up mattress for the young'n and my 8 year old has the military style one. I also have a Hennessey hammock that I haven't been able spend the night in either! Hopefully...
Yeah I've looked at those. I think they are pretty cool. But thought they only come in a single or double size. Kinda limits using it with the family. I'm thinking the comfort cot was the right choice.
Well because I am probably the worlds worst at impulse buying, (You should see how many bags of jerky and hand sanitizer and gum I have from the checkout line!) I bought the REI comfort and a $40 army knock off from Amazon. Let me say that the 30 minutes I spent laying down on both of them after...
Looks like the Amarillo KOA cabin is a go. If anything, my boy can swim in the pool a couple hours, and we will have A/C and heat, and real bed. No setting up stuff to crash for a night...now onto where to stay in Santa Fe!
Old thread, but whatever...plastic bottled water in the heat of the vehicle could leech some plastic into the water. If only in taste it's bad enough, but the fact that I might be drinking plastic is reason enough to find another long term storage vessel for my water.
The last and only time I used dry ice, I was told to put a layer of "regular" ice over the dry ice and then a towel over that. It worked pretty good in a cheap cooler for a 3 day camping trip. Actually had some eggs freeze that weren't in the egg container.
I would love to wing it. But being on somewhat of a timetable to get to Ouray, I need to plan on being certain places on certain days. There are a couple state parks in Texas that might be worth stopping and staying at. But damn it's hot in Arkansas, and I know it's hot in Texas in Amarillo...
That's the second time I have seen someone say something about REI like that. In my next of the woods, being cold isn't a problem we have to deal with for all but about 2 months out of the year. I have pads that I can use on any cot I get.
Yeah we have done a couple camping trips together. Going to break the drive out into Fort Smith, AR to Amarillo, TX on day. Amarillo to Santa Fe, NM the next day, and then onto Ouray the third day. He's really good at helping set up camp. He can basically set the tent up by himself. Only driving...
