I have a 2018 LC and am curious if this is normal condition. No matter what I do, I can not get the airflow to fully stop coming out of the HVAC vents. If I hit the off button, air still comes through and can be quite cold. I can't remember if this is how it always was, but it seems to be a...
I only bought mine for all the cameras and electrical systems. I figured you buy a Land Cruiser because of its reliability. Really hope to not have to use on anything mechanical!
Completely agree! It's not like they aren't covering a lamp. Headlight assemblies are complex sealed units with "lifetime" LEDs and no replaceable parts these days. Super frustrating.
Thanks for the eBay thoughts. I can mine that for a while and see what comes up.
I think i'm going to open it up via the halogen if possible and try and dry it out for now.
No accidents. Only thought i had was maybe a rock hit it on the highway, but I can't see any visible cracks.
I need to dig in the back and see what could possibly be open. I thought it was all fully sealed LED, but could be wrong. Thanks for the quick thoughts.
(I did search and didn't...
I recently noticed that my headlight assembly has a good deal of water inside of it. At 80k miles and after purchasing a 100k Platinum warranty when buying new, I thought no big deal. Well, apparently it's not covered under that warranty. Awesome.
Are there any ways to fix this without...
Reading their website, I think that language was there and refers to the fact that you maintain control of the climate system with their system installed (like the steering wheel controls). I'm not sure much is different, and frankly, have seen no one crack that code. Never know though.
I was able to update the unit with the software package they emailed me as well. I'm not sure there were any notable updates in the unit that I can see at this point. I'd be happy to forward along to you if you would like.
I really like mine. It has some quirks (dimming, wires exposed for power, can't get BT to work for sound so I'm using the 3.5mm audio out), but it connects wirelessly to my android phone every single time and still allows full access to the stock HVAC controls without switching systems...
FYI, i gave it a try. To me, I think it was like all the other built in systems that work behind the scenes. It worked, but just too much changing screens for HVAC, etc. I'm selling mine if anyone is interested in trying it out...
Ok, so to close out my solution here this is where I ended up and it's good enough for me to run with for a while.
1. Google pixel 6 connected to LC via Media and Phone.
2. Google pixel 6 connected to RT via Android Auto.
3. RT connected to Aux In via 3.5mm headphone.
4. Phone calls all route...
