I second that. I wheeled the crap out of my rig this year and enjoyed almost every minute of it.
Dusty gravel roads suck but this place had everything - a big thank you to Roger and everyone else involved!
If you like to get your truck dirty, put your name in the hat and we'll plan another outing! I think some of us will be out there Thanksgiving weekend (sure beats shopping in my book!)
What do you guys think about planning another trip on Dec 17th or 18th?
Seeing me drive thru that first spot and not get stuck in my bone-stock rig might have had something to do with it as well :)
Although part of this is driving style and technique... going in flat-out isn't always the best method :) There's definitely something to not losing momentum, but...
Guys, good times today, sans the fried clutch in the Heep!
Here's the Google Plus account created for "CFL Cruisers". If anyone would like to add pictures to it, let me know and I'll send you the account info.

Some good pics in there...
Yes, there's a gas station not too far away at the corner of 301 and 33. I can meet you all there - Danny, I'll email you to make sure you're on board. It's a Shell station, I believe.
As for Powerline Rd ... I'm not 100% certain if the trail is open or closed. Take a look at this...
yes - but some of my favorites others...
Dexamethasone Suppression Test
Decision Support Template
Defense Suppression Threat
Dynamic Stability Training (what the heck is that? Is that was cars go through for their suspensions?!?)
See you Sunday.
Wow - looks like Google Maps has improved. This link should give you the same path as I posted w/Google Earth.
FL-575 S to FL-50 E/Cortez Blvd - Google Maps
Okay, here's the path.
I really have no idea if any of these trails are closed - if they are, we'll have to take alternate roads, but there's a ton to choose from. I figure we'll 'end' with Meg's Hole... we'll see how much trouble we can get ourselves into...
That's one tall order of mud on the menu.
I'll throw together a trail. It'll be a starting point - we might find alternate paths when we're out there. Powerline Trail is actually quite a challenge... Probably an all-day event we can save for later.
Great.
I would suggest printing a copy of the map for Richloam to have with you, just in case:

I'm thinking a good place to meet would be off of Burwell Rd and Lacoochee Claysink Rd (this is one of the west-most entrances). We'll take...
That sounds good to me. I was planning on being back at my house by around 1-2PM last weekend, but that didn't happen!
This is the trip I took on Sunday (if you have Google Earth installed). It was about 85 miles, and it took around 5 hours (sans getting stuck, and a little time spent...
In Richloam. Last Sunday I had a nice drive all throughout the area - that last bit was when I made a wrong turn and didn't turn around soon enough, got stuck (wasn't following my own rules, serves me right).
There's sooo many trails down there - if Danny gets his rig fixed up he's game...
I think we're going to shoot for November 6th...
Lesson learned: don't go out there alone. This was from last Sunday when I got my **** stuck so bad I had to call a friend to come get me out. Not good.
