Hmmm. OK. As long as it is not doing the harm it sounds like it is doing. It is a little rough going up, slipping sometimes. That is why I would like to find a new one of those plastic gears. I was going to put some graphite lubricant on the mast though and see if that helps. Any better ideas?- Words: 62

Sure, but is it designed to keep moving when you hold the button down? Or is there supposed to be a stop when it is in the fully extended/retracted position?- Words: 32

I just installed a new mast but before that I took the whole assembly apart thinking it was stripped. I still think the plastic gear inside is a little worn down.
