Thanks! It was well-kept before I got it (mostly, at least) and then it was paint corrected and the whole body minus the upper D pillar and roof is PPF'd. It's real easy to keep clean and has some pretty killer and uniform gloss to it. PPF is awesome stuff.
That's weird because I thought the...
I'm pretty sure we were talking about when Google bought Youtube. $1.6B purchase, now worth ~$25B and counting. Not bad.
Or was it LED taillights? I forget.
For a body on frame vehicle it's pretty darn impressive. For a 15 year old body on frame it's really, really good. For a body on frame, 15 year old vehicle with relatively low maintenance costs and an MSRP way below $100k? Exceptional value if you want to cruise in comfort and venture off...
I agree the interior build quality of a Porsche, Mercedes, Tesla (model S and x), bmw, Lexus LS, and a bunch of others is better than a 100 series. No doubt!
That would be the Noise portion of nvh, I believe.
The V and H can be addressed pretty well with rubber.
Those TT control arms - they've got Johnny Joints and poly bushings right? Those are used in those parts to increase firmness and articulation at the expense of comfort so I'd expect some added harshness with those.

The jarring sensation is likely simply bushings and joints. Unless you're riding in a restored 100 (not a very common thing) then you're just feeling whatever level of wear that particular chassis has seen. Absorbing the big bumps? That's the suspension. Road seems? That's going to test your...
If the AHC switch doesn't produce a different feeling ride you've got a broken switch, worn our bushings (not an AHC problem, just normal suspension wear) or worn out globes. All is easily resolved.
Why would you ever need to replace it with traditional? With a brief bit of reading, and...
Same.
I had a 99 and upgraded to an 06 for:
1. Airbags. Family member got t-boned by a red-light-runner and I just had my second child. Safety priorities shift over time.
2. Updated Styling. The 06/07 taillights are very nice.
3. Transmisstion. That 5 Speed is great.
4. VVTI. I'm ok with...
