Sometimes you can clamp down on the outside of a line wrench/crows foot with a set of vise grips to keep the wrench from spreading. Always better to have a top quality tool though.
That's some really nice looking work you've got going there. It really takes alot of time to make it fit that good and look that nice. The price of aftermarket bumpers is justified. You can make a strong simple and a little rough bumper much cheaper, but it takes alot of time to make it...
When sealing with silicone RTV it is best to 1. Let is setup for quite a while before you tighten snug and then a while longer before you torque down. 2. Don't use so much RTV that chunks of RTV get squeezed into the engine to break off and clog important oil and water pathways.
Rear door fold down tables are awesome. Combined with some small storage inside the rear doors is even better. I love mine. whether it's a serving tray or cooking pad for a meal, or a place to cut up fish bait and rig up. As awesome as it is the auto makers would be fools not to put this on...
That looks like it will hold your phone even off roading. I resorted to velcro. If you use a magnet mount center dash windshield area you will find they release your large screen smartphone so that it will fall onto the steel Ebrake handle between the front seats and bust your screen. It's...
Started replacing my radiator today. Replace the rotten original with a cheap $140 from China aluminum 4 years ago. Rust and other stuff in the coolant system kept clogging the AC heat servo valve. Flush numerous times and finally resorted to a vinegar flush. Cheap china radiator was too...
I will also add that when all those that would be your potential enemy "think metric", have artillery and other systems all designed for metric it is benneficial for your defense if all your road signs maps and measurments are "English" should you ever be invaded. Which absolutely has been a...
1 minute of latitude=1 nautical mile(1.2 statute)=2000 yards=6000feet...............There are units of measurement in the English system based on absolutes in the world and the multiples lend themselves well to people who were adept at visually doing fractions, but not necessarily literate at...
Thanks man. I wouldn't have guessed that much on the repair panel cost. I was hoping I might get lucky and hear they were perhaps 1/4 that price and would fit the BJ73 frame and I could go about repairing. At some point it will be time to tackle this and I'll be in the market for a windshield...
Can you buy steel patch/replacement panels for those windshield frame pillars? My BJ73 windshield frame was rotted and repaired with bondo by previous owner. It's starting to fail this year. I'd love to see someone bring in a number of windshield frames for $500 each again. If I could get...
Made some memories the last few days with the BJ73 it's been hauling us around deer hunting and hauled my Boys first deer out of the woods for us. Young 10 pt buck at that. If it was a nicer newer vehicle I'd be worried about blood in the carpet. Lot to be said for bare steel and rubber mats.
Disconnect and plug the wastegate line and see how much boost you get with the wastegate deactivated. If you get more than 18PSI then it means your wastegate is activating at too low a pressure. If you still can't build boost, you can try to increase fuel while monitoring EGT's to increase...
I did my pistons domes with the heat reflective cerakote and skirts with the anti friction cerakote. The $35 4 oz sample bottle will probably do 20 pistons and you can in fact brush it on............Point is it doesn't have to be as expensive, complicated as some will make it.
That salt spray is bad on Oki. It's worse than living at the beach in the US. Big waves pounding on coral reefs with the wind blowing the spray ashore where there is no stretch of marsh grass or woodlands to catch/filter it out of the air.
What are KZJ 78's going for on the lots in Oki...
