18-19th is MIOBI Toys 4 Tots...
Sept 27-28th is open for me. But, it's not about when I can be there, it's about what works for the majority of the folks that want to go. I'm sure more people will chime in here tonight.
I'm busy both those weekends as well, Get Flat Nasty with TAC the first weekend and a baby shower in MN the next weekend. The following weekend is the Toys for Tots run at MIOBI. But, let's see what everyone else thinks of those dates and see if they work.

I talked to Greg today and I think he's game for organizing this again, sounds like we are going to head west this year. Greg...let's get some dates picked and a route figured out! Let us know if you need any assistance.

Well, I think we all made it back... Overton? Hope you made it home "relatively" dry...
Steph and I had a great time and will definitely be up for doing it again next time!
Here is what Steph and I saw and did:
Backbone State Park
Amish Country near Elkport Area
Elkport abandoned town...
I talked to a few more people about this today and also posted a link back to here on fjcruiserforums.org... I'm starting to get a little giddy again! :grinpimp:
Also, can I suggest that anyone that is planning on going PM Greg so we can get a head count as well as give him your phone number? That way we all don't have to post our phone numbers out on a public forum.
Well, here is Steph and I's plan....
Friday night, more than likely we will be taking Brent up on his offer to stay at his house (Brent I'll let you know if this changes, but for now count us in)
Saturday night we will be staying at the Super 8 in Manchester, which I'm pretty sure Casey/Debbie...
Yeah, that was a bad joke on my part....
As always with our group, it's all about family, friends and all those other categories.
Hope to see you guys out there again....where are your Flat Nasty pics?
Cheap motel...is that one of the ones with FREE HBO and those beds that you can put quarters in?
I like that idea, Backbone is a great park, with some nice hiking trails, fishing, etc. Strawberry Point has a nice little tavern as well, Rod $ Cals...cheap greasy food. Never been to...
If you need any help planning let me know and I can swing on up and bring a couple of . Wondering if we shouldn't start on the Mississippi and work our way north and east, then south...putting us back in the CR area on Sunday...just my 2 cents.
Cabins are nice, but roughing it is always more of an adventure to me...and the ballet dancers in East Dubuque prefer the rough stench of a woodsman... :D
