My 15 year old (6'1") is coming. He loves video and I'm hoping to get him into photography with my Canon. There will be LOTS of opportunities for pictures both at camp and on the trails.

Previously, squelch from 0 to 9 was a bunch of random values from 0 to 20. I was frustrated that squelch 0 sounded the same as squelch 9.
I haven't checked out your file but I modified the squelch on my chirp file so that 0 to 9 make actual changes to the squelch function.

I would look for Midland GMRS that are USB rechargeable. We have Midland GMRS spare radios however once they die, I need 120V to recharge them and they are very slow to recharge. We typically charge both of them at home and carry them just in case but rely heavily on our Baofeng radios for...
