Yep, that and the lack of fear or perhaps the lack of understanding of how precious life is? Or maybe my balls have shriveled up - as a father of 4 older kids that's looking forward to watching them grow up and have families... Too many near misses and unnecessary risks for the enjoyment level...
I'd be down for a low key group ride. I'm a slow and steady biker though, you "EXTREME BIKING" folks would have to wait for me at the end of the trail - I've done a few group rides with guys in their 20's and yeah... my old ass can't keep up.
Anyone remember the chopper? Or is that a more British thing. Used to think they were soo cool. I still have a Peugeot and some little vintage Italian racer rusting away in the shed. Promised I’d break them out and restore them at some point.

So to answer your question John, I was pretty tall but the bike is tiny, a kids version. I tried googling it but all I got was "don't ride it, the aluminum forks are a deathtrap" :)
We were financially challenged as a child, so like I said in the other thread I had garbage bikes most my life. Was just happy to have a bike at all. However, when I was 8, my neighbor who had expensive bikes had outgrown his Viscount road bike and gave it to me. Rode that for a year or so...
