So you are saying the new VC120 is causing radio interference? Not sure how some non-electrical piece of plastic would impact the EMF spectrum. I'm willing to guess something else has been disturbed. (Unless there has been some change in the fuel pump load, but I'd think it'd decrease.)
Yes on the first. I'm not sure on the second. Others can answer that.
If your tank vents pressure when you go to refuel, you are probably somewhere in the process of needing a new charcoal canister. If left unchecked, you can get to the point where fuel is boiling out your fill valve as you...
There is a one way valve in the canister that is supposed to let in fuel vapors from the tank, thereby relieving the pressure. Over time, this valve appears to be failing closed. This allows the pressure to build in the tank.
I'll update mine as well after three months. I had an occasion hard start/rough idle problem (you could smell fuel and see a white cloud when it started). That appears to be entirely gone now. I wonder if the fuel was being pulled back into the tank by the vacuum, creating air in the fuel...
I just did this. I removed the lower clamp holding the new canister prior to installing it as that was hitting the wire bundle coming out of the fuse panel. It's just one bolt and opens up some room down there.
