    I did my AC system last year. From what I read, r134a barrier hoses pretty much never go bad, so I didn't replace mine. If you're opening it up, you might as well switch to a parallel flow condenser, replace your o-rings, TXV, and evaporator. My evaporator was disgusting, packed with leaves...
