Cooper STT 11.50/32-15 on Procomp steel rims.
OME 3" Medium inc anti--reverse shackles.
Good balance of performance and practicality with no need to be cutting up the body.
You know that bucket of snakes you call your bungee cord storeage?
Got that sorted for 8 bucks.
Bungee Storage 1.0
BTW note the cord third from the left. I don't know if they left the coil on the hooks spaced for this reason, but it sure works if your cord is longer than you need it...
No worries. Gonna be cool when it goes back in. The only problem I can see it now it's gonna run better than mine.
The truck has blown oil smoke since he got it along the lines of a Spruance Class destroyer laying down a smoke screen, then somewhere along the line cylinder 3 kinda died--60...
It occurs to me, you could put some, um, 1/2"? tubing over the top of the 3/8" and leave it long enough to go to the bottom of the finger ring on the dipstick. . . should be big enough for the stopper on the dipstick to go down and it would guide the dipstick down the pipe. . . maybe.
Ever try to find the dipstick tube when you're not shining a million watt light in the engine bay? Hard to find, ain't it?
I dunno what this cost but it's under a dollar. 1" of red 3/8" silicone vacuum hose.
My A/C doesn't work. I had it converted to the new stuff and charged but it quit after a while.
Meanwhile, there, on the inside fender is a vacuum switch that's interestingly connected to the idle step-up pot on the carb. Tap into a vacuum source, pull some only-on-when-ignition-is-on power...
I did the same thing sans magnets for my motorcycle saddle bags but I have a tin each for earplugs, earbuds, fuses and miscellany. I painted the tins in various colors and labeled them with marking pen. I also carry old smaller prescription bottles filled with quarters and in some cases a large...
I like it. I'd be careful putting anything with any weight to it in them though. In a rollover whatever is in those is gonna be a projectile. Maybe add a flap to secure whats it them?
I use a super siphon to move gas from the cans to the tank, but the smell of gas in the cab when I bring the hose in is annoying. So, I came up with a way to store it outside yet keep it clean, along with some other stuff I have occasion to use at the back of the truck. I had the can, cost was...
1. Um, Don't have that on my rig--'85 FJ60. I just used the same mounting holes as the original plastic console. the ammo boxes are a little narrower than the stocker and it off-sets to the right leaving room for the CB. The rear heater is under the passenger seat and the heater hoses for that...
I did this on my passenger side and loved 'em 'til I went wheelin'. We were way up a canyon in the La Platas on a shelf road that we found to be blocked by snow. Had to back down about half a mile with the drop-off on the right. I couldn't see the edge of the road for doodly squat. I have fake...
