    I usually see around 180F with normal driving. Going up a long hill at max boost I see around 195F. so you are doing better than me. Maybe the difference between a 12HT and a 1HZ?

    It was the 2H-T that was in it before I broke it😐 on the drive up from Georgia I saw the factory gauge about 3/4 up a couple times. I hate to think what temps those were.

    When I installed the aux water temp gauge I was surprised at how hot the engine actually got, I think if I remember correctly just above half the aux gauge was showing in the 245F range.

    I just used an adapter that you splice into the upper rad hose . Yeah it doesn’t read anything until thermostat opens but that’s ok with me.

    condensation as in a cold engine start in cold climate, like your gasser does when you start it in the cold. you for sure qualify for cold you are on average been colder than us here all winter. :rofl:

    Are you sure it’s fuel smoke and not condensation smoke? Or maybe a combination?

    I have a new one of these if you are interested in it. I bought it for a project that never got done. It’s the heated kind but new so maybe you can get a few good years of service out of the seals.
