Sorry for the hi-jack Andy, So back to the family hauler, seriously interested in the old wheels lol!
I have to peruse my Instagram account, someone I follow Overlands a GX470, they are awesome rigs!
Which scan tools do you have, We have the full tablet version of the Autel and Snap-On Solus Edge. Sometimes we get lucky and can get in sometimes not, its always hit or miss with cars these days.
You can use it on the CT Andy to adjust any settings on the car you may not like, however I don't think it has an option to disable the traction control....
Thank You for the Link! (Begins to spend more unnecessary money for cable....)
Yeah I have a love hate relationship for immobilizer keys, great feature, but an pain in the butt to deal with.
Um, where did you get Techstream from and where can I get it, I miss having it so much!?!?!? I have a Toughbook with Windows 7 I could use it on lol
And there should be a song an dance to program a remote, I don't remember the remote being a programmable thing through Techstream till 07 ish...
The 4.7l is referred too at the dealer as the 3D puzzle, its not horrible, just have to remove practically every accessory off the engine to get down the the timing belt.
I have done a few, definitely something we could get done if we have that wrenching day!
IF you decide to get ride of those...
Nice Find! Great Choice!
Look to get the timing belt done soon if it hasn't been done, 4.7l is interference, and while your in there replace the water pump just for piece of mind.
That year I believe started the 'sealed' transmission meaning no dipstick to check trans fluid, it should be like...
And there is an AWD option, just gotta get rid of those crappy runflats and find a roof top mount for a spare, had a couple customers do that while I was at the dealer.
I am with Fireball on this one, if you can, plus piece of mind of Toyota reliability.
Nothing else to really add, everyone else has made great suggestions.
When looking I would shoot for the 05+ Sequoia. Similar to the Tundra, the Horsepower and Torque is bumped up thanks to the VVTi 4.7l...
