Dave From Toyota - What We Learned In Breck About The 200...

As a BMW guy, it's not that bad. I haven't been disappointed by any BMW I6 from the M35 on my E28 535IS to my previous M4s S55, they were both smooth powerhouses. There are certainly many differences that aren't known yet and are only speculation. Video: Toyota Touts 'Sound of Supra' in the...

I will say, I don't know why toyota sells the 200 (and soon to be 300) in the US at all. Not that I'm complaining. But the luxury suv segment has far better options for the wealthy people that are looking for a status symbol that never sees dirt. Especially with vehicles like the Range Rover or...

Turbo reliability has increased quite a bit since the 80s and 90s. Reliability is one, if not THE, most important factor in what makes a Land Cruiser a Land Cruiser. I can't recall Toyota putting a subpar (comparatively speaking) engine in a land cruiser, ever. I'm going to guess; whatever...

An LC-F and Supra would then directly compete with each other even more so, especially with the same engine. Plus, add in whatever the hell BMW is going to make with the chassis, Z5M (hopefully clownshoe revival), the rumored 8 series return or whatever.

I'll go with (much like with the new land cruiser) it'll be a version of the twin turbo 3.5 V6 in the '18 LS500.

Found this. I'm going to order and try the filter first. If it pops back up, I'll get a new canister. Or maybe pull the current canister and let it dry out or something. Check VSC System Error - Fuel in Charcoal Canister

I hope not. The vapor can is a $580 part. It's weird that three of us are having the same issues. I'm hoping for just the vapor filter that got messed with due to fluid bubbling. EMISSION COMPONENTS for 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser I might just bite the bullet and have the dealer diagnose it...

Well, the 4LO, check engine and trac off lights are back. The cap wasn't the fix. I'll look through my workshop manual to see if it has any diagnostic steps. Otherwise I guess I'll head to the dealer, again.

I'll go somewhere this weekend, not sure where though. Wherever I go it'll be a spot where my tank had fume issues previously.

Wild stuff. I'd hold off on buying a new cap. Give me a week to see if it works for my 200 and I'll give the go ahead. No need in wasting $22 on a cap.

Yeah, yesterday was when mine popped back up too in the AM. Weird. We're definitely having the same issue whatever it is. The frequency (yours and mine keep popping up at the same time) makes me believe it's a calibration issue/warning type thing. Unless both of our caps s*** the bed at the same...

My cap definitely wasn't giving me the last "click" so they are a wear product, I guess. After swapping caps I'm not getting the CELs for leaking evaporate but it's only been one day.

It's not the heat, I can attest to that. A few months ago I was up in the mountains at about 60*, there was still a heavy gas odor from the rear of my 200.

What segment would that be? BOF, spartan, off roader? Jeep has that segment. Toyota's entry is the 4Runner and the bottom rung SR5 has low take rate as it is. It's pretty simple, if it would have made Toyota money, they would have already done it. They don't have board meetings trying to...

Turbos don't concern me, direct injection does. Unless the Tacoma's D-4S self-cleaning system is effective. Toyota Advances D4S With Self-Cleaning Feature on Tacoma

I'll stake my money on the fact that the new LC will have the same (or mostly same) engine as the new LS500, twin turbo, 3.5L, 414hp and 443tq. The LS and the LC/LX have shared the same engine for 100 and 200 with the LS getting the engine first. I imagine it'll be similar with the 300 with a...

Well then get Mr Toyoda on the horn and tell him. Apparently you know more about boosting sales than a multi-billion dollar corporation.
