I am not saying it is as the condition of the Cruisers backs up the mileage, however I always look at the odometer. If the numbers don’t align it can indicate a roll back. Roll backs are fairly common in Japan.

A built Cruiser is likely to have been taken care of. Knuckle job, good brakes, engine leaks gone and much more. Not to mention all the money you can save on buying upgrades if they are already on a Cruiser. Seat will probably be fixed, carpet replaced and much more.

Anyone who doesn't consider them "collectors" vehicles yet, most certainly will as the years keep ticking down. Technically in the car world, 25yrs = a "classic", 50yrs = an "antique".

Any of us that been in these trucks long enough sees and knows what is going on.
To an old codger like myself we have seen this happen with other Cruiser models as well. Think about it, 15yrs ago a 35yr old was not long out of high school and 10yrs...
So I have got about $20k in a brand new 1FZ in mine, I spared no expense building the engine. It truly is new less a dizzy, IAC and MAF. It’s $1500 for those three parts alone and I just have not justified that extra cost yet when mine are fine. Although I may have to buy those parts soon before...
