Really awesome thread. I probably posted this one before but it is one of my favorite pics of all the Cruisers I have owned.
A short story; I was 17yrs old in 1990. My father was killed on the job when I was five. I got some money from that, wasn’t supposed to get it until I was 18 but I got...
Both plus the mounts are upside down as well as the frame mount welded on upside down. The rubber mounts are also not supposed to be stacked like that, one top and one bottom of the solid steel mounts is correct installation.

Here is an FJ142 I built.
I sold it as you see it to a guy in Arizona. He had RSO finish the build.
6L v8 with 15 miles on it went in along with a new 4L80. Lots and lots of other goodies too from what I saw of the finished truck.
I am doing a few other 80-series chassis swaps...
Mickey Thompson Classic 2's, 16" with 3.65" bs'ing. No spacers. No rub.
Sadly they are out of production in black, you might still be able to get them in chrome.
Cheers
This was my 84 FJ60. Ramjet v8, Ranger OD, stock 4spd and split case, ARB's and more. I did a lot of work to the suspension and steering. The truck rode and drove oh so nice and flexed decent too. I miss it and will have another 60-series some day.
Cheers
