Here,
Look at the strenght ratings for Amsteel Blue in the same size( 7/16 and 1/2")
http://www.samsonrope.com/home/pdf/new/Amsteel-Blue.pdf
Blue moon winchline is not even a third of the minimum of Amsteel...

I think that the biggest reason is the fact that 7/16" has only a 9K strenght rating, and 1/2" is 12K...far less than that of Amsteel Blue.
Does not seem like something that I would want anything to do with in a winch situation for my truck, let alone possibly a boat...
None for me thanks...
125' of 5/16" rope should work great.
As far as the 'rated capacity' of the PTO winch goes...this will be dependent on the size of the shear pin..as per some previous discussions...
Did a search 'PTO'- 'PTO winch'- 'shear pin'-'PTO capacity'...
Going to start a new thread in tech about it...
After talking with the folks at OKoffroad, we purchased 125'-3/8, and 50'-3/8 extension and heavy duty lock hook. Arrived two days after initial conversation and order date. Great customer service, will do buisness again.
