If the equipment is hard wired, it is required to have a disconnect switch within sight distance. This gives a pretty good explanation: c3controls - https://www.c3controls.com/white-paper/how-to-size-a-disconnect-switch-for-your-project/

As I say, I've been over it pretty regularly and have to explain it to some pretty non-technical people. So, hopefully, my "speech" has become concise and refined over the years. I appreciate hearing that what I'm saying actually makes sense to someone.

For general automotive work and fabrication it works well for me. For other areas, it would be a bit stark for my tastes. It's still pretty white. About 7000K and you start to really notice the blue.

Funny you mention that. I said the shop I work at has the UFO lights. Several people use the headlamps because of the shadows even though the overhead lights are blindingly bright. [Architect mode on] This might help on the color temperature discussion: I went with 6500K for the downstairs...

I sliced through my thumb to the bone with a piece of sheet metal once. I still cringe and my testicles shrink up and join my tonsils whenever I either hear about a sheet metal cut or somebody is handling sheet metal without gloves... The advantage of the road fabric - or geotextile...

You mention it feeding into a creek. I can just see someone downstream getting flooded on a clear sky day when you release the buildup and being all "WTF???" The other month I had a contractor commenting on windows and doors not being available. I happened to go by another of his...
