It’s the right gasket. Restricting coolant flow in one area by either covering a coolant passage or restricting it, increases flow somewhere else.
There’s a hole or two in the block that gets completely covered by the gasket. A few holes in the block aren’t even coolant passage holes.

The new head gasket is designed for both the 3F-E and the 2F. Either one.
When the original head gasket (and part number) was made, there wasn’t a 3F engine.
Newer part numbers generally don’t follow the old convention
