When I initially mounted the 255/85's I was not happy with the look. I didn't want to run spacers, but went ahead and committed to them. With spacers I think the 255's look great, but that is just my opinion.

True. Forgot about that application. Still would be good to support an AT in this size.

I haven't ran a C rated tire on the 100. Not sure how much affect it would have.

Falken has released their AT4W in 255/85R16. I just bought the Cooper's about 6 months ago. Sucks because I really liked my AT3W. Anyway, spread the word and let's keep this size supported.

No worries. But that does make a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification

I have read through this thread multiple times, and just now noticed this. It seems most here are mounting on the stock 8” wheel, so I don’t know how much difference that makes, but I’m surprised at the mounted heights being the same. I currently run 265/75r16 and would be very disappointed to...

It seems that when this tire is mentioned in threads it considered a MT. It would be my choice if I go with this size. Thanks @JunkCrzr89

I really like the idea of that size. However. I really don’t want to buy new wheels. But maybe it is worth it in the long run.

A question for those who have ran 255’s and then switched to another size. Are you happy with the new size? Do you miss the 255’s? This would be so much easier if a company would offer an AT in 255.

I need to get my life together. Can’t even remember answers to my own questions. Jeez. Thanks much

Thanks much. Still just wishing one tire manufacturer would offer an AT in this size.

For those running 255/85’s, who is running spacers and who is not? I’m also assuming no rubbing with spacers?

Unforturately problems with justdifferentials is a common thing among these forums.

To those running spacers with 255's, such as @Clunky How big is the difference in handling and road manners? Also is there any concern of tire to fender contact? I wouldn't think so but curious. Thanks

They look better than I expected. Are you running spacers of any kind?

I have been wanting a 255 for years. But I don’t need MT. I wish the major brands would offer up an AT option. They wouldn’t be a big seller, but there may be more interest than they would think.
