I've been in Costa Rica 2 and a half weeks and only saw one 60, today. Lots of Prado's, 4runners, 79's, 76's. Some 78's, FJ40's and 80's. The beach towns here are a parade of cool old 4WD's.
Here's an interesting one, it's a video not a picture but don't know where else to put it.
Edit: hmm, that link isn't working properly but there is a video with a 60 in it. I'm not advertising for Slovenia, I swear. You have to click on Copy Link and open in a new tab
I wanna see more pics of this!!! I've been dreaming about one but I have more fundamental work to do. These pop tops are popular on troopies which offer more space than the 60, but are more problematic to maintain due to parts availability in north anerica. Plus I do tight trails so the extra...
Poor little Anna's hummingbirds overwinter here and they're freezing their butts off, it's minus 15!!! They sure let you know when they're hungry. My little buddies.
Too cold to work on the 60 but at least there's no condensation dripping from the uninsulated roof!!
The original gutter seal caulking wasnt very good to begin with and by now they are all cracking and crumbling. I think if you replace with self leveling sealer it will be much more resistant. It is pretty hard which will resist falling apart from the mounts, and will fill the groove better.
When I saw that creek I had to drive up at the beginning coming in from the west side... I wasn't sure what I was getting into but the rest was just boulder crawling. That 4runner is super capable. Stock 2000 (minus the running boards) with rear locker, nothing stops it. Just a bit light duty on...
LOL I was there only a week or two before you, going the other way. In my 4runner. I was thinking, I wouldn't want to bring anything bigger than my 4runner through there. Sorry, not a 60 pic.
G'day mate! That's a sweet lookin rig, fair dinkum. I hear the prices are shootin way up in Oz with everyone stuck vacationing at home looking for 4x4's. I work for a company based out of Brisbane, sure would be nice to go there some day!! Do the Fraser Island trip!
