    I have no more room to put the tie rod ontop of the pitman arm, unless i went with a heim joint like woody.

    You just have to add a bump stop in front of the pitman arm...

    Another reason I have a relatively flat pitman arm is because of how close the leaf springs are to it. I have to run a bump stop up front to keep the springs from hitting the pitman arm.

    I used a pitman arm off of a 77 wagoneer. I think it's 7" long with a 1/2" drop, nice and flat for my soa set up :)
