    Diesel Transplanted 80 series Registry

Mine was done like 12 years ago and I’d like to do a custom made Vibrant to replace the eBay one since I think it would dissipate heat more efficiently. It fits behind the stock grill, with a massive tranny cooler behind it, running oem radiator. Here is the size I have IIRC...

If you like the low end you will want to go with a HX30 or super hx30. The HX35 has a 12cm housing (split scroll) and even the hy35 had a 9cm (non split scroll) but just too laggy. A 14cm would be horrible no matter what compressor it has. Especially at altitude like ours.

I rarely ever get to run through an entire tank at once anymore. I'd say 12 on trails, 15-16 mixed short duration trips, 18-20+ highway at 70-75mph.

 X2!!!!! This is the much simpler, cheaper, and better idea. I don't have a tach but I run higher rpm than that. I have 4.88's, 37's, and have a manual lockup overdrive. It is fine to drive at that rpm all day it just wont get the best mileage there. Mine sounds best at about 64mph so I...
