What did I do to my pig today??? I‘ll tell ya what did to my pig today!!!
I made my non binary 1970/1971 Landcruiser pig go down the highway at lightNing speed on a slip stream chasing an elusive sunset at 55 miles per hour while blasting Santana’s Abraxas and playing air guitar as I made...
Today:
Finally pressure washed PP23 mud from the pigs loins. The Sun and Ojai heat and Oak tree sap was starting to glue the mud and dirt on.
Very sad day.
I did a clear, UV, tint on all 36 sq ft of glass and it made a noticeable difference. The black dash creates a significant amount of heat that is directed right to the front passengers.
At one point before the tint I measured the heat of the dash at 180 degrees. After the clear tint it...
Well after driving the beast around locally for the last 10 days, the steering seemed ok but definately a bit twitchy. I took the recommendations of the clan and had Deaver Springs send me some 4 degree shims, new center pins and longer u-bolts. I dropped the front springs bolted the new steel...
Thanks for all the input. Amazing how adjusting one detail throws everything else wonky. Just adjusted the bump stops so the swine doesn't lean over and scrape the mirror on the ground when going around a corner.
Have to send to Bilstein for re-valving. So hard to say what makes for a good ride for the piglet. Frustrating guessing what might work best. Tempted to order a set with softer custom valving and compare. Unfortunately throwing parts at the sow is the expensive way to solve 1st world...
The valving that came on the shocks for the front is a bit firm. Although it helps in the cornering on windy roads. Just a bit on the firm side when cruising.
Deaver said that all is good. I know we put in shims the first time. It feels stable but rides altogether different do to the higher quality shocks. I need to put in a bit more run time.
Thanks for you input.
We no longer raise kids. This is the generation that we are raising young adults. At this rate I think young adults are considered late 30’s early 40’s. Some have already retired on other peoples pensions.
On a productive note of selfishness. It was time to try and do a proper upgrade to the...
I believe it to be factory punched and in perfect condition. It has never been installed until today. I'm not that up on what years or what country's had chrome grills or punched letters. I'd be interests to know more on the subject.
The moment I saw it I knew my little girl would have to...
:clap:Added some bling to my mistress. Courtesy of Santa, new chrome grill with cut out letters. More air flow to the radiator.
She has gotten just so into herself. One of those self deserving type princesses. Bloody hell, where will it end.
