Completely agree. My LX is 8200 lbs and I can cruise up steep long grades on the highway (5k-8k) elevation at 85mph. World of difference especially on the highway. Before you go dumping that in, trace the leak. I have had a valve cover leak that looked like it was coming from the upper...

    1) No, your wide band sensor goes directly to your AFR guage, don’t do anything with the stock ECU. If you were you get into a stand alone ECU like a haltec, then you would by hooking up a wideband for the ecu. 2) No filter on the wastegate. Absolutely no reason to. 3) Monitor your AFR until...

I am not running the 14-1, i have a set of innovate guages, but I have Boost, AFR, Oil Pressure, Oil temp, Coolant Temp and voltage.

A lot of progress has been made on my Air to Water intercooler system. The expansion tank / Meth tank holds about 3.5 gallons of fluid and uses up all the available space where the ABS pump was back to the firewall. There is still enough room to get my arm in to change the oil filter though. I...

I put a Ron Davis and refreshed all the cooling components. Radiators, Intercoolers and coolers in general are usually a “you get what you pay for” item.

Just snug it up tight in a cross-cross pattern. You aren’t going to be able to get a ton of leverage given the location anyway.

Put 30K in. If you can't find 30K, you can mix 15k and 60k equal parts to make 30k. I just did 800 miles this weekend and temps were much better after replacing the fluid.

Are these temps with the smaller diameter Photoman pulley?

I didn’t know Photoman had a smaller fan pulley. Do you have a link to a thread about it? I did a quick search but only found all the alternator threads.

Got the fan clutch back in the LX and took her for a good hour long shake down run. Temps are definitely improved. On the highway doing 70-75 she was running at 196-197. In stop and go traffic doing 30-35 she was running at 198-199, and at stop lights temps would creep up to 203-205. The...

Would you mind adding a few more pics? Have you noticed much of a difference in temps with this?

Was fun finagling the fan out without removing the shroud when you have dual batteries and a York to contend with. Drained old yellow fluid and replaced with a 50/50 mix of 15k and 60k...should be about 30k. I can definitely feel more engagement when turning by hand, now to get it back in...

After comparing the new blue hub to my modified orange hub (supercharger hub), the blue hub doesn’t have nearly the amount of engagement, feels very much like a stock blue hub clutch. I just picked up a few bottle of CST from a local hobby shop. I got a bottle of 15k, 20k and 60k. I am going...

Tuesday night I finished all the center console gauge and accessory wiring, so that meant Wednesday was test drive day. I did one short trip to the gas station and back...maybe 6 miles total. The AFR numbers all looked good, and I saw about 3-4 psi of boost. Coolant temps were 194-196 and...

I am about to get my truck back on the road and have all the goodies stuffed in there (Dual batteries, York Compressor, OBA manifold etc.) I have ceramic coated my J-pipe and down pipe, and have blankets on the turbo and downpipe. Hopefully that controls the heat well enough...not really...
