Oh, this is good to know. I didn't check with Precision, as I just figured they'd have to order it. I may have saved a step by simply ordering them directly from a parts dealer (and paying for shipping). Trying to avoid RTV. I'll inspect the condition of the gasket that's currently in use and...
Thanks. I called and chatted with William. I've already ordered some OEM fiber gaskets. The best NAPA could get me was a plastic gasket that would need to be send down from Phoenix, so I passed.
Do any Tucson-based Cruiser geeks have a fresh oil plug gasket for a 2f motor you could spare? Alternatively, I'd welcome any recommendations for a non-OEM option that might be fetched from a local parts store. I'm trying to finish up an oil change on my FJ60 today or tomorrow (March 1-2)...
I'd be down to grab some grub to go and have some socially distant parking lot hang time. I'm always looking for an excuse to drop the tailgate and chill!
Thanks for the prompt, @Wilma83 !
Greetings, Cruiserfriends!
I apologize for sliding off the radar back in February. Many thanks to @yotadude520 for keeping the meeting momentum alive. The HEAT is going to coincide with the first round of easing restrictions, so I don't know if that affects things like trail runs, etc. I know...
Good morning, SEAZ Cruiserheads!
I'm writing to remind everyone that we're scheduled to gather this evening at 6:30 pm at the Serial Grillers in Midtown/central Tucson. The restaurant recently moved to a larger location on Speedway that includes more parking. The new location is HERE. If folks...
In my relatively new/limited interactions with this group, I haven't sensed a high level of urgency to conduct our meetings in a more formal or organized fashion. Is this mostly what folks would prefer going forward?
"More formal and organized" could mean having meeting agendas, officers (and...
You bet! I'll issue a formal reminder to this group and suggest that significant others, spouses, kids, etc. are all welcome. Thanks for thinking of this!
Quick question for the group:
Is this the book that folks prefer for learning about 4 x 4 trails in Arizona? Any word on an updated edition?
Are there other titles that are recommended?
Thanks!
The Serial Grillers in Midtown/central Tucson moved to a larger location on Speedway that includes more parking. The new location is HERE. In the spirit of trying to move the monthly meet around to accommodate a wide dispersal of Cruiserheads, how about we convene at this location at 6:30 pm on...
Leanin' hard! Yep, that's me. Finally finished tinkering on the steering line on Sunday (clearance issues with headers). Going for a tire pressure check and bath later today.
Not 100% sure I'll be able to join at Monsoon's Tap & Grill tomorrow night (Wednesday), but sounds like a few folks are...
Happy December, gang!
I know we're on the fence about a December meetup, given the busy holiday season that @mtn biker notes. If there's a desire to connect, though, the logical day (if we're shooting for Wednesdays) would be December 18. @Wilma83 suggested Monsoon's Tap & Grill in NW Tucson...
I'm having a heck of a work week and my 60 is limping (steering box!), but I wanted to say thanks to the folks who turned out to Sentinel Peak last night. @yotadude520 , @mtn biker , @wildling , and the gentleman with the fine-looking 80 right by the door (I'm foggy with names and didn't catch...
Friendly reminder, folks:
This month's meetup is tomorrow, WEDNESDAY, at 6:30 pm. We'll be trying out the Sentinel Peak Brewing Company, located at 4746 E Grant Rd. Again, this location is a bit more central/east than our last two venues.
I'm hoping we'll see @mtn biker , @D_Web , @wildling...
Greetings, Tucson Cruiserheads!
Let's plan to convene at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 20, at the Sentinel Peak Brewing Company, located at 4746 E Grant Rd. This location is a bit more central/east than our last two venues.
My 60 is having a steering box issue, so I might show up in a...
