It's something the spouse thinks is a good idea until you don't stick to it. AKA guidelines so you can make car payment, house payment and put food on the table, but rarely adhered to when shopping for parts, upgrades & mods (reality:rolleyes:). Don't we know it!
BTDT...lol
Not real impressed with powder coating on metal exposed to rock bashing. Would it be possible to order radius arms with no powder coating and assume the oxidation and weathering issues ourself? Also not have to wait for other shop’s schedule. IMHO, powder coating suspension parts may be cool for...
Yeah, I agree. Articulation may get you more traction, but if strength is compromised, the results may not be positive. Thank you @Heckraiser for remembering the name of the the mod. At the time I read about it I thought, what might be the results on a trail? Never tried it and probably a good...
That's kinda what I meant. It was probably straight before, but "self-adjusted" for more flex as the driver (you) tackled tougher and tougher obstacles. IIRC, one of the 1st tricks to getting more flex (articulation) out of the stock front axle was to remove the front bolt on one LCA. Only on...
IF you're talking about this (circled in the pic), a little "slop" allows more flex. I'd say from the look of the arms that flex from use might have "adjusted" it . ;)
Thanks for clarifying for me. I had seen that was a fix suggested by some years ago. I agree that the Delta arms would be a much better route to go, but that wasn't availble back when you needed the fix.
Oh hell no....that's why "nobody's" putting lift kits on their rigs and cutting the hell out of their wheel wells or pullin' their hair out to get pinion & caster angles corrected  They just love running 31" tires on a 6" lift.....:meh:
