Hey Macdugal.. Sorry I saw this too late.. I'm just getting back into cruisers after a 'hiatus' of several years.. I have 2 62's that need luv so I'm a little crazy to think about buying yours .. What brand / model wheels do/did you have on this pretty 'chine? Are they 15's with the 33...
Josey - Thanks for the reply. I currently have "1 and a half" Fj62 ( 1988 and89) Never had a 60, but I like them.. Do you think the 60 ( in the durability , maintainability )is worth switching over to? All my wrenching experience / knowledge is on the 3FE ( EFI and all that) .. Changing...
Expedition Builds seemed like a good place to ask for opinions on this.. What would you consider a sustainable utility vehicle considering the following :
reliability , durability, off-road capability, passengers / storage, logistics ( parts availability) , maintainability etc..??

Same truck different engine! 3 years ago was an oil galley plug release and loss of engine! This time she was spark knocking ( timing or fuel prob I guess) and got worse and worse. After cool-off for an hour she started up again. While troubleshooting the problem I am wondering about long...
Driving my FJ62 (engine has 130K ) and noticed knocking getting worse.. About the same time I saw the temp gauge hit the orange, she cut off.. Waiting for it to cool down .. What's to be expected in this situation? Never had it happen.
Thanks in advance..

Somewhere in between - not on-fire billowing out but more vapor than usual. .. I guess about 90-100K on this engine 40K when installed in my 89' and 50k since.. Waiting for call back from shop.. Hoping it's not too bad.

Broke down going to work -endured usual look from the wife as she picks me up. So.. over the Turkey weekend I did a much needed ignition tune up , replaced distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wire-set, coil .. Ran pretty nice.. I noticed a little knock but checked connections and it all seemed OK...
Thanks for the reply
Thanks.. I sent a message to Belton with the info to see if it is theirs and if I can get tech data.
I really want to be sure of what stiffness it is before I install it and I also have to get some for the front -- to match up. I'll see what comes back from...
Hi - New poster here.. I am looking for help. I just bought my 2nd FJ 62 (1989) and it came with a set (not installed) of rear Springs shipped from Truckmaster out of Coldwater, MI.. One of them has TOY 007 ADS written on it in marker. One is stamped with 008268 and the other 008269.. The...
