    so after a few years of putting all my projects on hold...im back on it...so an update on this project...brakes are filled and bled...gas lines are run...power steering is plumbed and works great...i used the 3/4 dodge reverse rotation steering box in the stock location...once mounted the stock...

    i recently tried something different than what is pretty standard for conversions...i used a 3/4 saginaw box out of a 70's dodge...i bought it brand new from oriely for around $200.... i fabbed up a plate to bolt it up on cut the stock mount top off... i bought a brand brand new rag joint...

    older style PS pumps dont have built in pressure reliefs when at the stops...not sure what years had the reliefs...might want to talk to some chevy guys

    thanks gappy...but it has had a hard summer of wheeling and its banged pretty good now...my buggy is 60% done and i hope to get it done so i can make the wagon pretty again never un bolted it while doing the trimming....cut the wedge out and take a hammer and tap it back into place...hold it...

    im running 3.5 OME HD front and MD rear, inch over shackles and 2" body lift, with some mild fender trimming...but im also running 36" IROKS on 2" backspaced rockathons....i still rub quite a bit when flexed but i never lower my bumpstops which would help quite a bit....when im running my stock...

    never did the full dash...i found a new dash at a scrap yard for $60 only had one crack by the speaker hole...but i did have my pops make me this nice billet aluminum controller panel

    so i just got off the phone with Gustaf from one of the FJ trail teams...they will be up there thursday night and along with the usual donation of raffle prizes there was some talk of a $500 cash prize...we are done accepting preregistrations but there is plenty of room for stragglers to show...
